LED Lighting for Iraq
Iraqi projects run hot and dusty, and the grid does not always co-operate. Our street lights, all-in-one solar luminaires, flood lights and high bays are specified for 50 °C ambient, AC85-265V input and IP65 sealing — and we ship into Umm Qasr with documents ready for tender submission.
Markets
What the project conditions look like in Iraq
| Grid | 230 V / 50 Hz nominal. Wide-input drivers accept AC85-265 V, so voltage sag and generator supply do not damage the driver. |
|---|---|
| Climate | Up to +50 °C in Basra and Baghdad, dust storms, and cold winters in Erbil and the north. |
| Most requested | Municipal street lighting, off-grid solar street lights, construction and compound flood lights, warehouse high bays. |
| Sea freight | Umm Qasr (Basra) — FOB or CIF, with 30-40 days of production before sailing. |
| Language | Arabic product information on the /ar/ site; quotation documents in English. |
| Tender documents | CE, RoHS, ISO 9001:2015 and IECEE CB are issued with the quotation. |

Why these models
Why these models suit this market
Wide-input driver for an unstable grid
AC85-265 V input and a power factor above 0.95 keep the luminaire working through voltage sag and generator supply — a normal condition on Iraqi feeders.
Rated to +50 °C ambient
Die-cast aluminium housings, tempered glass optics and drivers rated from -40 °C to +50 °C, so the same specification works through a Basra summer and an Erbil winter.
IP65 against dust and wash-down
A sealed optical chamber and a breathable valve handle dust storms, then pressure washing during maintenance.
Solar all-in-one where there is no grid
Panel, LiFePO₄ battery and dusk-to-dawn controller in one fixture — a pole and nothing else, for compounds, farms and roads the grid does not reach.
Selection guide
How to specify for this market
Street lighting
Residential streets usually take 30-60 W, collector roads 60-150 W and main roads 150-400 W. Send the road class, pole height and spacing and we size the wattage.
Solar or grid-connected
Where a reliable supply exists, grid-connected modular street lights are the cheaper option. Where it does not, all-in-one solar beats trenching and cabling — tell us the nightly hours and the number of overcast days.
Dust and heat
Ask for the sealed optical chamber and the higher-temperature driver configuration. Both are catalogue options, not custom engineering.
